The son of a photographer and a model, GAVIN GEOFFREY DILLARD has been wielding a camera for much longer than he is willing to admit. He has modeled for numerous artists and photographers—turning the tables and photographing them in return. And now, after an entirely ungratifying couple of decades of digital, he is back holding his treasured 2-1/4 format, double-lens Mamiya analog beast.
An artist and writer by trade, Dillard has owned three galleries in Los Angeles, published eleven books, numerous songs, an infamous memoir, and the hit musical, BARK! He has written comedy for Dolly Parton, Joan Rivers, Peggy Lee, Vincent Price, Lily Tomlin and others. His photos and illustrations continue to show up in books and publications worldwide.
